There is a lot of talk going on over the past few months regarding the two famous pronounced devices by Apple; iPhone vs iPad. Apple has nicely come along in the world of mobile. Both the iPad and the iPhone provide very similar benefits and characteristics within a sleep, handheld and smooth design. They allow the usability for e-mail correspondence, web browsing, music, videos, gaming and more. If we come to think which is the most suitable for us, we can evaluate the both on the following criteria:
Screen
Starting with the iPhone vs iPad comparison, the screen comes first. The iPad’s 9.7 inch screen is obviously larger than the iPhone’s screen of 3.5 inch, not to forget that both devices are specifically designed for a number of different purposes. But when we look at the core aspects of phone screens like pixels, there is not much even though iPad is bigger in size. For example, the screen resolution of the iPad is 1024 x 768 which is very impressive as it is most suitable for watching movies rather than watching on the smaller screen of the iPhone.
Nevertheless if noted closely, iPhone 4 has impressively put 960 x 640 into the screen of 3.5 inch which is very good if we consider the difference of the size. Keeping this in mind, the iPhone can be called as an all round performer and iPad can be used for watching videos and films.
Storage
Storage has always seemed to be a major issue with the Apple products. If we take into consideration the storage capacity of both, the iPad offers three options for storage: 16GB, 32GB and the 64GB. Whereas the iPhone 4 comes only with two options: 16GB and 32GB. So overall in the iPhone vs iPad argument, more storage capacity is expected in both devices. The users were a little disappointment on hearing the announcement that they could only upgrade the storage capacity till 64GB on iPad. The low storage capacity of iPhone can somehow be understood but it seems very unfair for the iPad to have such limited storage capacity for all the applications, music, games and videos. If the differences in the size of both are considered, more is always expected from the iPad whereas iPhone is serving better even with its smaller size.
Processor and CPU
Both iPad and iPhone uses the 1GHz A4 chipset creating not much difference in both. However if we evaluate iPhone vs iPad, iPhone has double the RAM as compared to iPad at 512MB. This means that the performance of the applications and operations would be significantly a lot smoother on the iPhone.
Connectivity
People need to pay a little extra for having the 3G-enablement at their iPad and for using the data at their iPhone as well. So it is almost the same thing as everybody needs to pay for texting, browsing or calling every month. However, if you are using an iPad, you still would be paying yet another data fee. So all in all, iPhone as a device has more functionality and the data allowance is included usually within the Pre-Pay-Scheme or contract tariff.
